conj(z) returns the complex conjugate of the complex number z. If z is represented as x+iy where x and y are both real, conj(z) returns x-iy. Also works on a list of complex numbers.
conj(3+4i)
3-4i
The conjugate of a number <math>z</math> is often written <math>\overline{z}</math>, and is useful because it has the property that <math>z\overline{z}</math> and <math>z+\overline{z}</math> are real numbers.
